Obama's 43%

There are now two statistics President Obama and his campaign will be mentioning frequently during the final month leading up to the election; the September Bureau of Labor Statistics Report  showing a drop in the unemployment rate to 7.8 percent, and what Obama and his campaign likes to call the 47 percent of Americans Mitt Romney wrote off trying to persuade during a private donor speech. But there's another statistic you will rarely if ever hear Obama and his campaign mention on the stump; it's the 43 percent of Americans that are identified in the BLS Report as unemployed but not considered in its official calculations of the monthly unemployment rate. Obama's unmentionable 43 percent of unemployed Americans can be easily calculated. The BLS Report shows 6.5 million people counted as out of the labor force but wanting to work, and 2.5 million more classified as marginally attached.
