June 14, 2008 John Coleman vs Al GoreRegular readers of this website are well aware of the Global Warming scam. Poking holes in the AGW theory is becoming child's play. But we have to keep at it because the general public and major presidential candidates are not so well informed. A large percentage of the public still get their news from the mainstream media. And of course the MSM is in the tank with Al Gore and the global warming believers. That's why it's important to let the public see the other side of the global warming debate. We are very lucky to have a scientist like John Coleman who is not afraid to speak his mind. John has been a weatherman since 1953, for 7 years he was the weatherman on "Good Morning, America". He is also the founder of "The Weather Channel" on cable. Now he is in his "retirement job" at KUSI in San Diego. A lot of younger meteorologists just starting out can not speak out against AGW orthodoxy because they might lose their jobs. John has reached a point in his career where he doesn't need a paycheck and can speak his mind, and he did just that in his comments before the San Diego Chamber of Commerce. Here are a few excerpts: There is no significant man made global warming. There has not been any in the past, there is none now and there is no reason to fear any in the future. The climate of Earth is changing. It has always changed. But mankind’s activities have not overwhelmed or significantly modified the natural forces. Later in his comments there is this: "By the way, before his death, Roger Revelle coauthored a paper cautioning that CO2 and its greenhouse effect did not warrant extreme countermeasures". So, Roger Revelle, Al Gore's mentor and teacher did not believe that CO2 and its greenhouse effect warranted extreme countermeasures. I wonder if he would approve of what his former student is doing? Since the planet has actually been cooling in the last ten years it's fun to watch the AGW believers flail about trying to come up with new theories to explain what's happening. Their favorite new word is "variability", this is how they explain global cooling. And what do we call this scam? Global Warming has been passe for some time now and until recently it was Climate Change (better to explain temps going up or down). Now, in one of those slick new public service ads (courtesy of Al Gore's Nobel Prize money) they use the phrase "Climate Crisis". Apparently Obama has copyrighted "Change" and anyway "Crisis" adds a little more urgency to the whole enterprise. I wonder what it will be called next year? Perhaps "Climate Catastrophe". |

Pay more in taxes so government can pretend to control the weather ... the perfect scam.

We all should thank John for his courage and his actions. Too many who could stand up for what is right don't.

Attention Al Gore: We know you envision yourself as the world's savior. It was your ego that made you do it.
Perhaps by now you have some doubt settling in. Here's your chance.
You can wait until history refers to you as 'Chicken Little' or you can admit, with a rare display of dignity, that you may have been wrong. You might even consider encouraging your concensus posse to have another look at the data. If you can muster the courage to do that you will be setting a good example and history will certainly find you more noble.

Personally I hope that John's idea of a law suit against Al Gore comes to fruition. Perhaps then the fraudulent nature of AGW will get air time in the MSM {not holding my breath}. Or maybe the FTC will go after this most successful of all con artists ~ far bigger in scope than that Kevin Trudeau of late night infomercial fame.

I praise John Coleman for his courage and clear thinking on this matter. Man-made global warming theorists take note: you have strong opposition to your fairy-tale. He encourages me, a neophyte to the science, to have courage to press our schools, politicos and media outlets to offer less hearsay about the environment.

Al Gore will never admit he's wrong about Global Warming. He's making too much money trading in carbon credits. Al Gore is a con artist, through and through.

Racketeering is US. We gave China a catastrophic tectonic shift and now want their oil to run SUVs on Mars. From the Bob Murray of Cuba and the LABI Limbaugh of Uranus, "Vice President Dick Cheney's office acknowledged on Thursday that he was mistaken ... In a speech to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Cheney said on Wednesday that waters in the eastern Gulf of Mexico, long off limits to oil companies, should be opened to drilling because China is already there pumping oil ... "We're not doing it, the Chinese are, in cooperation with the Cuban government. Even the communists have figured out that a good answer to high prices is more supply." He cited his source as columnist George Will, who last week wrote: "... China, in cooperation with Cuba, which is drilling closer to South Florida than U.S. companies are." ... Jorge Pinon, a senior energy fellow at the University of Miami ... said China is being raised as an unnecessary "boogeyman" by drilling proponents" ("Cheney oil comment attacked"; By H. JOSEF HEBERT, The Associated Press; nola.com, 6/12/08). "Did you hear that? Did you hear how they took my comment out of context? This is Michael J. Fox all over again! ... The left says, 'We can't drill our way out of this.' Yes the hell we can! It's that simple! And yes the hell we should! Drill here, drill now, pay less! We're the United States of America! We can do it!" Al Gore: He lied to us... "He Played on Our Fears"!
Posted by: Bill B | June 14, 2008 07:15 PM
But I don't hear from the UN conceeding about the fallibility of GW. They still want their billion$, mostly from the US.
And Congress won't give up either. I say it's one of many socialist ploys to control our society.
Posted by: Raemon | June 14, 2008 07:49 PM
In a funny way, the people who obstruct US oil production remind me of certain kids who used to hoard their candy while mooching candy off the others.
Nevertheless, I believe most of the obstruction is due to the oversupply of false fear by the main stream media. They can't sell good news, so they invent bad news.
The Marxists* in capitalist societies willfully amplify these fears, since they need additional ammunition in their battle to take control of private enterprise.
Politicians on both sides of the aisle are afraid to buck the popular media. However, McCain, I believe, actually believes the crap the media is peddling and Obama is evil enough to base his campaign on it.
So come what may, if this political idiocy continues to stomp on the liberty of the American people, I can visualize masses of people storming the government with pitchforks and torches.
It's not necessarily a left versus right issue. It depends on the societal structure. Hell, the old communist states never even pretended to protect the environment as long as they could increase industrialization. Most of damage to the current world's environment was done by the old USSR and their colonies in Eastern Europe. Private owners usually care about the condition of their property, whereas in a socialist state the commons are usually neglected.
Keep fighting the good fight.

Nature puts on average about 200 billion tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere - sometimes a lot more. Man contributes about 6 billion tons of CO2 per year, less than 1/30 what Nature does. Man's contribution is simply lost in the "noise" and has no significant effect.
Anyway CO2 is NOT a pollutant. And Carbon is the basis of life on Earth, not something to be feared. What morons...

Freeman Dyson reviewed a book on William Nordhaus' economic model of the 100-yr. consequences of a range of GW "solutions". http://www.nybooks.com/articles/21494
Bottom line: Gore's recommendations came out WORST. Read it and weep/laugh.

AJMeyer;
reminds me of the old Soviet worker's adage: "The state pretends to pay us, and we pretend to work." LOL

Al Gore -- how wrong he is, how right we are! Praise be to us...
The problem with casting human-caused global warming as a hoax is that if -- for the benefit of the doubt, if -- in twenty or thirty years (honestly: ten years) we are are indeed faced with the widespread global catastrophe that a rise in surface temperatures would entail (loss of coastal regions, dislocation of billions of people, food shortages, increased violent conflict over remaining resources), we will have allowed a dire global problem to become an abomination -- at best a hundred times more costly, at worst, irreversible in terms of preserving human civilization as we had known it. Especially if turning our back on the glaring potential that we are ourselves responsible -- and at that point will have been responsible -- for failing to develop proper technology, failing to cease deforestation, that the Earth's climate, like a wagon driven too fast and packed too heavily, breaks free and gains momentum beyond our ability to stop it.
Because even if catastrophic climate change is indeed beyond our ability to cause, letting the planet get to that point won't exactly have made us innocent bystanders.
Granted, this is just the sort of weight that could empower a hoax, were it one, giving it a significance resembling the inclusion of Hell in Christian belief: believe it and be wrong and you've wasted your life; neglect it and be wrong and suffer for an eternity.
Pascal's wager, it would seem, applies just the same.

Poor Oscar Meyer,
You make Weenie Rush and his 20 million 2-legged locusts laugh all the way to the bank.
"RUSH ... a great illustration of the dynamics of regulation and how, when the federal government, the do-gooders and the environmentalist wackos and whoever they are, the leftists try to impose a restraint on freedom, how people get around it ... It's a short-term loss versus permanent loss of the use of his property ... property owners have been known to actually kill an endangered species ... exactly what happens with any number of regulations ... Everything liberals do has the unintended consequence of harming what they intend to protect or to help ... the Americans with Disabilities Act is to get them treated fairly. Then they write the law so that it punishes the caregiver, it punishes the doctor ... Endangered Species Act, resulting in dead animals and trees" ("Professor Hazlett and the Unintended Consequences of Liberalism"; Mr. Rush "Chemical LABI" Limbaugh of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity - Persian Barbie dolls - extremist Republican and Christian corporate lap dancers - downer cow media outlets of ESSO plagiarism; prison escapees from Planet-Star Wormwoody Jenkins; rushlimbaugh.com, 6/11/08).

Let's all get over it. We lost the debate, and we lost because the Left cleverly used imagery instead of dry scientific data. I cannot see a second-grader exclaiming "..Mommy, empirical statistical iterations show that the warming data of the Hockey Stick graph have been disproportionally weighted...huzzah!, no global warming!"
Continuing to argue with scientific rebuttal puts us where the Left wants us; we instead have to operate on the premise that people accept warming but not the costs to combat it. Industry and government are already positioning themselves. Let us enter the correct battlefield before it's too late.

Golly gosh little Billy, dull Gorge, and tiny Tommy!
Y'all must be confusing be with LABI Limbaugh feeling obligated to being higher than a kite on oxycontin when slopping the hogs! The "hoax" of your freedom to expose us to ozone and other global warming chemicals lacks the psychotrophic properties to steal "talent on loan from Ga-od" and frighten Haitian children and horses with "every inch of my glorious naked body".
After exposure to toxic chemicals, asthma and hypoglycemia attacks are a slower death than having to listen to Sean Hannity on your wedding night with Ann Coulter.
Perhaps the intelligent design of the new natural cycle of little Billy/Gorge once more failed to do the least amount of homework because of your superior genetics.
"Ozone in air pollution ... There is a great deal of evidence to show that high concentrations (ppm) of ozone, created by high concentrations of pollution and daylight UV rays at the earth's surface, can harm lung function and irritate the respiratory system.[15][23] A connection has also been shown to exist between increased ozone caused by thunderstorms and hospital admissions of asthma sufferers.[24] Air quality guidelines such as those from the World Health Organization are based on detailed studies of what levels can cause measurable health effects" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozone).

George, Your strategy has some logic to it, but I just can't keep quiet while the MSM goes on and on about man made global warming. I have to agree with what John Coleman put at the end of his comments in big bold letters:
My mission, in what is left of a long and exciting lifetime, is to stamp out this Global Warming silliness and let all of us get on with enjoying our lives and loving our planet, Earth.
Posted by: Danny Huddleston | June 15, 2008 03:44 PM
Poor D. Hudd Leston of Reaganstan IV;
How many planets have you conquered and shouldn't a mission have at least 1 fact and figure as a jumping off point? Non-ID: "My mission ... to stamp out this Global Warming silliness ... our planet, Earth"
There are no magical powers of being Islamic, environment, ecological, gay, atheistic, Polish, absolutely stupid, or breeding like a rabbit. However, through eugenics of the Cardinal Pells, extremist Republicans and Christians can see invisible global warming and other hoaxes like "temperatures", "wind", and worker compensation illnesses from dismemberment to cancer. But, extremist Republicans and Christians can't see "sex" from wussy Channel 7 John Coleman to bathroom enthusiasts Larry Craig and Jeff Gannon. "RUSH: John Coleman who founded the Weather Channel wants to sue Algore on this whole business of global warming being a hoax. I have loved John Coleman ... COLEMAN ... uncontrollable global warming ... climatic catastrophe ... Where are they measuring this temperature? Who's measuring it? How are they handling the data? ... RUSH: Amen. John Coleman. I love that guy" ("Weather Channel Founder Wants to Sue Algore for Carbon Credits"; Mr. Rush "Chemical LABI" Limbaugh of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity extremist Republican and Christian corporate whore downer cow media outlets for plagiarism, Standard Oil$' looting and whine seller outlet; rushlimbaugh.com, 3/5/08). It seems to me it is "Global propoganda" with the intent to weaken the position of the United States as the inhibitor of those who have unpopular ideas for the global future. Probably orchestrated by the money and power of the usual suspects, chiefly Russia, China and others. Let's face it, we are in the way of their globalist ambitions.

How can we help John Coleman follow thru with his plan to sue Al Gore, or at least humiliate him? Is there a petition out there? Can you direct me to it?

Why are people so apathetic to this and so gullible - We are easier to manage that way of course!!
