Worst. Euphemism. Ever.

When I pointed out the sinister euphemism “alternative safe pathways” for sneaking in 20 times as many Muslim “asylum seekers” (like this guy?), as publicly admitted, I had no idea that the head of the Department of Justice, Loretta Lynch, had just outdone anything George Orwell could have dreamed of.  But Roger Clegg of NRO and John Hinderaker of Powerline were way ahead of me.  Hinderaker calls it the “euphemism of the decade,” but given the source, I cannot really imagine it being outdone. Our attorney general has just called young criminals “justice-involved youths.” In an effort to help young people involved in the justice system find jobs and housing, the U.S. Departments of Justice and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today announced $1.75 million for Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) and nonprofit legal service organizations to address the challenges justice-involved individuals face when trying to find work...(Read Full Post)
