Who was the most appealing person in the GOP debate?
I'll leave coverage of the substance of the GOP debate to others. I want to talk about the style of the participants. Who was the best, most appealing speaker? Chris Christie spoke too quickly, making himself appear nervous. Perhaps he was nervous, because he was on the verge of being eliminated from the grownups debate. John Kasich has no eyebrows, and his face looks partially melted, making him look like a space alien. He spoke a lot but he didn't seem to make a whole lot of sense. Carly Fiorina was forceful and articulate. She also looked stern and had this sour look on her face, like a constantly angry schoolmarm. She almost never smiled or had any warmth in her voice. Ben Carson reminded me of blind David Patterson, the former governor of New York, who was very soft-spoken.
