For complicated and fundamentally irrational reasons, the American left is determined to deny the obvious and pretend that Islam is a “religion of peace,” and if religion has anything to do with violence, why, all religions are equally bad. Case in point: Sally Kohn, the former Fox News contributor now seen on CNN by a tiny fraction of the audience that once was treated to her defenses of the left. On Twitter, she erected this straw man: Christians or Jews killing in name of religion = Extremists But Muslims killing in name of religion = All Muslims??!
