Lazy, Shiftless... Democrat

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell on NBC's "Meet the Press" with David Gregory stated that "When I see another former Governor, after the President's first debate when he didn't do very well, says that the President was 'lazy' -- he didn't say he was slow, he was tired, he didn't do well -- he said he was lazy. Now that may not mean anything to most Americans, but to those of us who are African-Americans the second word was 'shiftless' and then there's a third word after that." Perhaps Colin Powell needs to hear Barack Hussein Obama admitting that "there is a deep down, underneath all the work I do, I think there's a laziness in me. It's probably from, you know, growing up in Hawaii, and it's sunny outside and sitting on the beach." Furthermore, when Obama called America "a little bit lazy" what are we to make of this use of the word? Did that include people of all melanin levels or only the pale ones?
