Death by metaphor - again

You might recall the wailing and gnashing of teeth by the left after the Gabby Giffords shooting about the "bullseye" electoral map that was on Sarah Palin's Facebook page and how it "encouraged" violence. If it did, it would have been a first. A metaphor, no matter how bloodthirsty, cannot harm you, or anyone else. It is a figure of speech. It is not to be taken literally no matter how much the Democrats and the left say it should be. Hence, the flap over rocker Ted Nugent's use of colorful - even violent - metaphors to describe America and the Democratic opposition and why this is such a ridiculous tack being taken by the left.
