Laughter as Political Antidote

An understanding of the power of laughter and wit in politics dates back in Western culture to the Psalms. "All they that see Him laugh Him to scorn; they shoot out their lips, and shake their heads..."(Psalms 22:7) More recent testimony to its force come from such sages as Mark Twain who noted.."The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter" and also stated "Before the assault of laughter nothing can stand."  A quote based on Rudyard Kipling's words attests.." Scorn and derisive laughter are the sire and dam of change.... What we must do now to dethrone the present agent of unwanted and unneeded change is mount a laughter campaign that uses scornful and derisive laughter as the agent of downfall of the very one who brings us such disastrous change.
