Iraqi reaction to Saddam's hanging

Our contributor Rocco DiPippo is working in Baghdad, and writes a first hand account of the Iraqis' reaction to Saddam's execution in The Autonomist.  Rocco was opposed to brutality of a televised hanging, but a country where many children prime themselves to commit future brutality by abusing and torturing animals, Saddam Hussein's execution was mild fare indeed.Contrary to Western expectations, no outbreak of violence has resulted, and Rocco has an explanation.
