Staunch US ally now heads IAEA Board

The news from the diplomatic front keeps on getting better for the US and the anti—terror Coalition.  Not that the MSM will give any priority to news of  President Bush's recent diplomatic triumphs. Yesterday, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced that the IAEA Board of Governors has elected Japanese Ambassador Yukiya Amano as Chairman of the Board for 2005—06.  The previous Governor was Ms. Ingrid Hall from Canada.  Mr. Amano has held senior positions in the Japanese Foreign Ministry, including Director of the Science Division, Director of the Nuclear Energy Division, and Deputy Director General for Arms Control and Scientific Affairs.
