James O'Keefe is back, with a truly chilling look at a Bernie-supporter
Investigative journalist James O'Keefe sent his undercover agents to check out what's going on with the Bernie Sanders campaign. On Tuesday, he dropped the first of what promises to be a series of videos focusing on the people working for Bernie.
The video, which is embedded below, is pretty shocking. Kyle Jurek, a field organizer for Bernie in Iowa, is a foul-mouthed man with a limited vocabulary. He revels in thoughts of riots, explosions, burnings, beatings, and gulags.
Jurek's imagination doesn't limit itself to what will happen in America if Bernie wins. Instead, he predicts the ultimate dystopia should Trump win re-election. For him, the 1968 Chicago Riots at the Democratic National Convention will serve as a small introduction to what Bernie-supporters will unleash should their man lose.
It's not just conservatives who earn Jurek's wrath. In true Leftist fashion, he imagines a world in which Bernie's political rivals on the same side of the Leftist aisle get their comeuppance. He's no fan of the Clintons, for example, and makes the usual joke about the Clintons and suicides. He then adds, "We don't gotta kill the Clintons. We'll make them kill themselves. ... Reign of Terror." How very Soviet.
Jurek also hates the same media that support Democrats and the other Democrat candidates, with special attention to the Bloombergs and Steyers of the world.
JUREK: I'm ready to throw down now. I don't want to wait and have to wait for f‑‑‑‑‑‑ DNC.
UNDERCOVER JOURNALIST: Yeah, but with who, who you going to throw down with?
JUREK: The billionaire class. The f‑‑‑‑‑‑ media, pundits. Walk into that MSNBC studios, drag those m‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑ out by their hair and light them on fire in the streets.
Jurek is especially hostile to Elizabeth Warren, whom he sees as someone who gained unearned fame simply because she's a woman:
[S]o, like, you're okay with a woman if she has worse policies. Like just because she's a woman, because she has a vagina, that's why you're going to vote for her.
Amusingly, Jurek, while apparently loving the idea of Bernie in power, doesn't have that much respect for Bernie himself. When it comes to Bernie's past fondness for Warren (a fondness that ended this week, when the two started slinging mud at each other), Jurek understands the problem: "Bernie's a bad judge of character..." There's a ready-to-win bumper sticker for you.
O'Keefe promises that he'll soon drop another video, even more disturbing than this one. Apparently, though, it will again focus solely on Jurek. And that's where we need to make an important point.
Jurek is just one man, and he seems to be a very disturbed, violent, angry man. Unless the Bernie campaign has affirmatively known about his views and done nothing, it's not Bernie's fault that a scary person has attached himself to Bernie's candidacy. In a two-party system, the crazy people have to go somewhere.
However, subject to that caveat, there are still two things to consider: first, O'Keefe, who has the Andrew Breitbart tactic of trickling out increasingly more damaging videos, may have a lot more up his sleeve than one disturbed man.
Second, Jurek's rhetoric, while not in line with anything Bernie has said, is completely consistent with the ideology Bernie espouses. When National Socialists, Italian Fascists, Soviet Russians, Castroite communists, or all other Leftist groups seek or hold power, their members do what Jurek dreams of doing: they end free speech, they beat people on the streets, and they send their opponents to the gulag or the gas chamber. You could say Jurek is the id of Bernie's belief system.
Again, that's not saying Bernie has espoused violence, for he has not. It's just an observation about the history of the ideology Bernie holds so dear.
In that regard, do not forget that Bernie has lived through some of socialism's worst convulsions — World War II and the Holocaust, Soviet gulags, North Korean concentration camps, Castro's slaughters and prisons, and the millions dead in Africa and South America — and he has never wavered, not one bit, in his support for socialism.
