The left reacts to Kavanaugh
Mental illness is always a difficult topic to discuss, especially in a public forum. However, based on the unhinged reactions I am seeing on my blog and in person to Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court (I live in one of the country's most liberal ZIP codes), I am seriously concerned about some of my leftist friends. I wonder if there are therapists who specialize in treating Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). If not, there should be, as I may need to stage an intervention. At the very least, perhaps TDS should be added to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM–5).
On a serious note, if we had listened to the advice of the pious #NeverTrump crowd, who apparently are more worried about not being shunned from the Georgetown and Hamptons cocktail circuits than getting the policies enacted and the appointments made that they supposedly wanted, Hillary Clinton would have appointed her second justice last night, swinging the balance of the court from 5-4 conservative to 6-3 liberal. Think about that the next time you hear prominent #NeverTrumps like George Will, Jennifer Rubin, Bret Stephens, and David Brooks spouting off.
