The Jewish left has become unhinged

The Trump International Hotel in D.C. will be a lightning rod for leftist agitation December 14, as radical and mainstream liberal Jewish groups protest a joint Hanukkah party co-sponsored by the Embassy of Azerbaijan and the conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations.  Jews Choose Trump is calling on Trump supporters to join them in a counter-demonstration.

Trump’s millions of Jewish supporters look forward happily to the unfolding policies of President-Elect Trump and his impressive list of proposed cabinet heads and his national security advisers, who will create a new era of security for America, Israel, and our other allies.  For the first time since 9/11, many Americans are taking heart, feeling we will have a team capable of meeting and willing to meet the challenge of the Islamic jihadi war against the West.

Strengthening our border by enforcing our immigration laws and strengthening our economy through pro-growth economic policies, especially the energy sector, are just as important for national security as diplomacy and military action.  Trump, working with his outstanding Cabinet picks, has begun the road to excellence in all these areas, undoing eight years of Obama’s willful damage to America’s safety and well-being.  Trump has pledged to reverse Obama’s dangerous enabling of Iran’s terror and nuclear capabilities.

Anti-Jewish hate groups that support the vilification and isolation of Israel have become unhinged with Trump’s victory.  They are appalled we will again have a president who embraces Israel as America’s strategic ally and a bastion of shared cultural values in the hellhole of the Middle East.  These radical groups have tried to camouflage their protests against the Jewish State and Trump as somehow being "Jewish."

These anti-Trump liberal Reform leaders are eager to disrespect our president-elect and all his voters, and the rare Muslim country friendly to Israel, but they are fine joining with the anti-Jewish hate group If Not Now.  During his administration, President Obama worked to divide the post-World War II unity of the Jewish community by pushing the anti-Israel Soros group J Street.

J Street has failed to make an impact on support for Israel in the Jewish community. That failure has led the anti-Israel hate group to take another tack by using its campus arm, J Street U, currently run by an anti-Israel Muslim student, to manufacture the perception that the "youth" are anti-Israel. (snip) If Not Now … evolved out of anti-Israel protests during Hamas' attacks on Israel, and Simone Zimmerman retweets violently anti-Israel bigots, including Max Blumenthal, who has called for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Israel and helped inspire the Kansas City Jewish Community Center shooter…

Trump’s Jewish supporters are tired of the bogus narrative tying President-Elect Trump and Steve Bannon to white supremacists, and the media silence regarding the entrenched anti-Semitism and anti-Israel activism of Democrats.  The infinitesimally small number of David Duke supporters, which number no more than a few thousand in a U.S. population of over 330 million, have no influence in this country.  The alt right has no media or political influence in this country.  The groups we fear are the alt left, who are taking over the Democratic Party (considering Nation of Islam supporter Keith Ellison for DNC chair).  These Democrats sponsor hateful demonstrations against Jews, Zionists, and Israel endlessly everywhere on our college campuses.  They have a real following in the elites and academia and are becoming more mainstream.

We look forward to Trump implementing the 17 points the chairmen of his Israel advisory team published.  Our top five are:

1. Immediately change the diplomatic atmosphere from hostility to Israel to warm friendship again, as evidenced by the invitation to Netanyahu.  We expect the attacks on Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria as "illegitimate" to end as well, referring to Israel as an "occupier."

2. Expect the U.S. to veto any U.N. resolutions that unfairly target Israel or attempt to impose a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well as opposing labeling requirements at the U.N. or by the EU, which are attempts to harm Israeli commerce and to delegitimize the state and to prejudge the outcome of direct negotiations between the parties.

3. Take steps through the Department of Education and through legislation to fight BDS as anti-Semitic.

4. Recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and move the U.S. embassy there.

5. Most importantly, we expect the Trump administration to tear up the Iran deal and to treat Iran as the existential threat to the U.S. that it is.

We are heartened by the choice of Gen. Mattis as secretary of defense, since he says that when he wakes up in the morning, the three threats to U.S. security that he worries about are Iran, Iran, Iran.

Unlike most liberal Jews, Trump has Jewish grandchildren.  Trump suffers no confusion as to who is a friend and who is a foe.
