Obama appoints fox to guard the hen house

Another hideous person rises through the ranks of the Obama administration: Mr. Robert Malley. He is cut from the same cloth as many of those that Obama surrounds himself with. In other words, a person who hates America and sympathizes with our enemies. And now he is in charge of the administration’s absurd, ridiculous, disingenuous, pathetic, uncommitted effort to combat ISIS.

First a bit of back story.

Malley was born in 1963 to parents who were communists, Islamist sympathizers, and Jew haters.  His mother worked for the UN delegation of the National Liberation Front, an anti-American political party. His Egyptian-born father played a key role in the Egyptian communist party and was a confidante of Yasser Arafat. Both parents were rabidly anti-Israel, critics of “Western imperialism,” and supporters of a number of revolutionary “liberation movements” (especially the “Palestinian” cause), among other egregious affiliations and views.

Although born in the United States, Malley grew up in France. As a young adult, he attended Harvard Law School during the same time Obama was a student there. A few years later, in 2007, Obama appointed Malley to serve as his foreign policy advisory for his presidential campaign. Per a report at Atlas Shrugs, Malley was fired the following year after his “notorious ties to Hamas, the PLO and other jihadist and anti-Israel groups” were exposed.

In 2008, AT Editor Ed Lasky wrote a piece that shed additional light on Malley and is as sobering to read today as it was nearly eight years ago. Perhaps even more so, as we look back on the evil Obama has wrought.

Drilling down further we have Robert Malley. He was part of the American negotiating team that dealt with Yasser Arafat at Camp David. He has presented a revisionist history of those negotiations since then: presenting a view that blames Israel for the failures of the negotiations….

He has spent years representing the Palestinian point of view, co-writing a series of anti-Israel articles with Hussein Agha-a former Arafat adviser. Palestinian advocate…Malley has also called settlements "colonies" -- implicitly condemning Israel as a "colonial" state. His writings have been so critical of Israel that the media-monitoring group CAMERA has a "dossier" on him….

In another piece written that same year, Lasky provided an excellent review and takedown of several of Malley’s op-ed pieces and described Malley’s political objectives as “a radical reshaping of decades of American foreign policy and a shredding of the role of morality in the formulation of American policy. These policies would strengthen our enemies, empower dictatorships, and harm our allies.”

And indeed, every word that Lasky wrote has come to fruition.

But Malley would not exert influence simply by writing vile op-eds. Soon enough Obama would appoint him to key positions in his administration. Discover the Networks reports:

After President Obama's 2012 reelection, he appointed Malley to serve as his senior advisor for Iraq-Iran-Syria and the Gulf states. Obama pledged, however, that Malley would have no involvement in issues related to Israel and the Palestinians.

On February 18, 2014, it was announced that Malley was formally returning to the White House to serve as a senior director at the National Security Council (NSC), where he would be in charge of managing relations between the United States and its allies in the Persian Gulf. In March 2015, Obama appointed Malley to direct the NSC’s policy in relation to the entire Middle East, including Israel.

And now Malley has risen through the ranks once again. Judicial Watch reports:

A radical foreign policy adviser fired by President Obama years ago for meeting with the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas is back as the administration’s new czar in charge of countering the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS).

The White House downplayed the new appointment by burying it deep in a press briefing delivered at a Paris hotel during the recent climate summit….

Seven years into this madness, and the feeling of shock never fades.
