Loretta Lynch more worried about anti-Muslim sentiment than jihad terror

We’re rapidly moving beyond “soft tyranny” (which is horrible enough) onto something ever more threatening and sinister.  You can pick any number of leftists on any given day for examples of this descent into the abyss.  For this blog, I have selected Loretta Lynch, who, on Thursday, was a guest at the “Muslim Advocates Dinner.”

At one point in the evening, the issue was raised about how Muslims fear the ramping up of anti-Muslim rhetoric in America.  In response, Lynch offered a rambling and despicable answer that hit upon a number of points.

She praised how well-organized the Muslim community is.  Of course, there was no mention of the numerous Muslim Brotherhood front groups that operate and provide a lot of that organization.

She referenced the terror attacks in Paris but said nary a word about the terror attack in San Bernardino.  Placating to the audience, lest she offend?  Or still hoping for a verdict of “workplace violence”?  Hard to say.

She went on to empathize, sympathize, and legitimize their fears about anti-Muslim rhetoric.  In fact, she went so far as to say that her “greatest fear” is anti-Muslim violence.  Really?  That’s the greatest fear of the attorney general of the United States?  Not jihad mass murder of Americans?  Good to know.

One would think that as the attorney general, she would have a few basic facts at her command.  For starters, the largest percentage of hate crimes against people based on religious affiliation are committed against Jews.  According to 2014 FBI stats, 63% of all hate crimes against a religious group were committed against Jews, compared to 11% against Muslims.  But I’ve never heard Loretta Lynch express her concern about anti-Semitism.  Have you?  That’s because Jew-hatred is in vogue, and Muslims are the protected class the left loves to embrace.

Anyway, it’s absurd for the attorney general to pick out one very specific issue as her “greatest fear.”  Shouldn’t the greatest fear of the attorney general be something related to any and all things that threaten the Constitution and law and order in America?

But I digress.

As if to prove to those in the audience how much she stands with them and her willingness to back it up with the power of her position, she said that anti-Muslim speech that results in violence against Muslims will be prosecuted.

When we talk about the First Amendment we [must] make it clear that actions predicated on violent talk are not American. They are not who we are, they are not what we do, and they will be prosecuted.

My message not just to the Muslim community, but to all Americans is, ‘We cannot give in to the fear that these backlashes are really based on’

Hypothetically speaking, if she is so eager to prosecute those who make threats against another person or group, one would think she’d be rather busy keeping up with sermons in mosques and postings on the internet and social media where evidence of Islamic totalitarianism is rampant and extraordinarily threatening things are said.  In her spare time, she might want to look into the Black Panthers or the Nation of Islam.  Heck, she’d have her plate full.  And she should.  But she’s not interested in violent speech emanating from those quarters.  Nope.  She’s got a niche demographic she’s taken under her wing.  And as far as I can tell, the rest of us can go to hell.

We are living in dangerous times.
