Iran Deputy Foreign Minister reveals what a big joke the inspections will be

Iran will not allow US or Canadian inspectors at nuke facilities and will allow no access to “sensitive and military documents” by the International Atomic Energy Agency. AP reports:

[I]n remarks broadcast by state TV on Thursday…

Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran will only allow inspectors from countries that have diplomatic relations with it. The previously undisclosed remarks were made during a Sunday meeting with parliamentarians.

I wonder of those conditions are contained in the secret side agreements that Congress does not have access to?

He also said inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency will not have access to "sensitive and military documents."

I guess that means that if Iran is setting up secret sites to carry out banned activities, we will have no way of searching for documentary evidence, such as invoices, personnel documents, or test results.

This is a bad joke. With the Iranians proclaiming conditions that would allow extensive cheating on their part, the idea that there are safeguards in the agreement is ludicrous.
