There are things that offend some Muslims.  A lot of things. 

And if what you’re looking for is not on that list, it may be on a list of things some Muslims pretend to be offended by in order to assert dominance.

So what’s the latest real, or feigned, offense (at least as of this writing; there are still several hours left to the day)?

Muslims are put out by crosses at a Catholic University they attend.  All the Catholic imagery is really putting a crimp in their Muslimness.  The crosses must go!

BeliefNet reports:

Crosses in every room at Washingon D.C.’s Catholic University of America are a human rights violation that prevent Muslim students from praying.

That’s the complaint to the Washington, D.C. Office of Human Rights filed by a professor from rival George Washington University across town.

GWU Law School Professor John Banzhaf takes the Catholic institution to task for acting “probably with malice” against Muslim students in a 60-page complaint that cites “offensive” Catholic imagery all over the Catholic school, which he says hinder Muslims from praying. (snip)

He alleges that the university, “does not provide space – as other universities do – for the many daily prayers Muslim students must make, forcing them instead to find temporarily empty classrooms where they are often surrounded by Catholic symbols which are incongruous to their religion,”….

The complaint further objects that Muslims must pray at the school’s chapels “and at the cathedral that looms over the entire campus – the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.”

Well this Catholic university certainly has some nerve.  The gall of them, having crosses on campus.  And a lot of crosses, at that.

When, oh when, will infidels ever learn?

Accommodating Muslims is a never-ending job.  And if you don’t do it right, you can find yourself in a lot of hot water.

Lawfare is another weapon in this battle of the ages.  Because as jihad is waged in the most violent and savage ways, another kind of jihad is also being waged in the form of creeping sharia.  It is insidious, and it advances every moment of every day across America – from our schools to the highest levels of government and everything in between.  And if we don’t keep our eye on this ball and beat it back, we will be doomed.

As Islam sweeps across the globe – kidnapping, raping, burning, maiming, torturing, stoning, beheading, and executing – destroying every living and non-living thing in its path, it also advances without any overt violence.  We must fight every battle, everywhere, until we eradicate this sickness that is suffocating our culture.

Muslims feel uncomfortable at a Catholic university?

Easy solution: don’t attend a Catholic university.

Similarly, if Muslims feel uncomfortable in a free society like the United States of America, there’s any easy solution for that, as well: don’t live in the United States of America.

CORRECTION: This lawsuit appears to be the sole brainchild of John Banzhaf. He has projected, anticipated, and asserted that the university is acting with malice against the rights of its Muslim students. But Muslim students themselves do not appear to be behind this legal effort. I apologize for misrepresenting the genesis of this action. There have been countless situations where Muslims have been involved in lawfare, but this does not appear to be one of them, at least based on the current information at hand – information that I read hastily and from which I drew erroneous conclusions. The title of the piece should be: Non Muslim offended on behalf of Muslims at Catholic University.
