Fallback justification of Obama's Paris 'random' shooting remark destroyed by new evidence

Barack Obama’s outrageous labeling of the shootings at the Hyper Cacher market in Paris as “random” caused Josh Earnest and other administration flaks to come up with a rationale that was ridiculous at the time. But now, release of tapes from the slaughter makes the justification look ridiculous.

Obama told Vox.com that “you've got a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris," sparking outrage over the denial of the obvious – that Jews were targeted because they were Jews. When pressed at a press briefing, Press Secretary Josh Earnest fell back on some linguistic fast-footwork:

"The adverb that the president chose was used to indicate that the individuals who were killed in that terrible, tragic incident were killed not because of who they were but because of where they randomly happened to be."

This rationale maintains the “random” aspect, in that supposedly the individuals just happened to be Jewish “in the wrong place at the wrong time," (Jews randomly found in kosher market) as the saying goes. Well, that is now exposed as total BS. The BBC reports:

Investigators are examining seven minutes 45 seconds of footage apparently filmed by [gunman Amedy] Coulibaly on a GoPro camera worn during the siege, according to reports.

It shows him shouting "Nobody move", before grabbing hold of a customer, asking his name, and then shooting him dead.

He asks another man what origin he is. And when the hostage replies "Jewish", he kills him too.

"So you know why I am here then. Allahu Akbar," he shouts, according to Le Nouvel Observateur's report. He is also heard making anti-Semitic remarks when one woman tries to tell him that his hostages have done nothing wrong.

President Obama is loath to admit that Jews are being targeted in the name of Allah. For him, it is preferable to call ongoing holy war on the Jews as street crime, random shootings, and the like because he cannot admit that Islam’s founding scriptures contain injunctions to slaughter Jews and infidels, and that modern jihadis are seeking to destroy Jews first, and then all infidels who do not submit.
