At a White House press conference with Prime Minister David Cameron, President Obama went out of his way to suggest that Europe needs to do a better job helping Muslim immigrants integrate into society.

The AFP reports:

US President Barack Obama on Friday urged European governments to try to better assimilate their Muslim minority populations as they respond to extremist attacks like last week's shootings in Paris. (snip)

…he also warned that the answer to the recent violence must not simply be a security crackdown. (snip)

"Our biggest advantage, major, is that our Muslim populations feel themselves to be Americans and there is this incredible process of immigration and assimilation that is part of our tradition," he said.

"There are parts of Europe in which that's not the case ... it's important for Europe not to simply respond with a hammer and law enforcement and military approaches to these problems."

Obama’s suggestion that Europe needs to do a better job integrating Muslims into society at large puts the shoe on the wrong foot.  The subtext was that Islam/Muslims are the victims.  The fact is that the Muslim community refuses to integrate into European society.  The most extreme examples are Muslim enclaves called no-go zones, where non-Muslims enter at their own risk.  Including the police.  In addition, whether they live in no-go zones or not, many European Muslims want sharia law, and, indeed, Islamic law is already in place in several European countries.  Those are the facts.  (See here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here for a small sampling of reports on no-go zones.  See here, here, here, here, here, here, and here for a few reports among many on sharia law in Europe.)

As to the second point, his finger-pointing admonitions have the flavor of a tyrant.  Who is he to warn Europe about what they need to do?  And certainly who is he of all people – he, who has advanced Islam’s influence around the world – to discourage any nation from taking any and all steps to ensure its people’s security?  (See here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here for a handful of examples among a seemingly infinite list that document Obama’s affinity for Islam.)

I actually agree with Obama’s last point, though I doubt he intended his words to mean what I see as essential in combating the threat of Islam.  Which is that in addition to traditional battle, we must end all Muslim immigration.  So, yes.  Law enforcement (police and/or military) is crucial to keep citizens safe, but it is not the only piece to solving the problem of Islam spreading through the West.

Of course, Obama wasn’t referring to a moratorium on Muslim immigration.  He likely meant something more along the lines of the need for more coexist, kumbaya, multiculturalism, outreach, and a whole host of other misguided and dangerous notions.  Because he, like millions of other Islamic sympathizers and/or dhimmis, doesn’t understand or care that Islam is the 21^st-century Nazism.  And you cannot coddle or coexist with evil.  Evil must be destroyed.
