U2's Bono credits evangelical Christians, George W Bush for saving 9 million Africans

Rush Limbaugh, time and again, has cited a favorite quotation from his Dad Rush, Sr. which went something like: "You can tell a lot about the character of a man by how he treats people who can't do anything for him." With that in mind, in retrospect President George W. Bush was quite a man, according to U2 frontman Bono in an interview which aired yesterday on Focus on the Family: "Most of the 9 million lives that are now saved, HIV/AIDS sufferers, are paid for by the [United States]. ... This should be shouted from the rooftops. This is a heroic American story. And I am here to thank the American people for that." And I also want to thank the evangelical community for that, because it wouldn't have happened without their leadership.
