Lying Lew: Sen. Sessions Outlines Jack Lew's History Of False Statements
Sessions explained that when Lew testified before the Budget Committee less than two years ago, he made repeated false and misleading statements about what effect President Obama's budget would have on our debt. Sessions gave Lew multiple opportunities to correct the record, but he continued to insist that the President's budget would put the nation where we would "not be adding to the debt anymore." In fact, the budget in question would have added $13 trillion to the debt -- according to the Administration's own numbers!
Appearing on Fox's "On the Record," Sen. Sessions outlined his opposition to Jack Lew's nomination to be Treasury Secretary.
