Cops Spray Mace Into Unruly Crowd Seeking Subsidized Housing

Police said the crowd started gathering on Friday night for the Saturday morning event at The Heritage apartment complex in northeast Columbus. Residents in the area called police overnight and complained about the noise and number of cars parked on their lawns, blocking their driveways and driving in the neighborhood.

Columbus Police sprayed Mace on several people in an unruly crowd attempting to sign up for subsidized housing. Authorities say that a crowd of 2,000 people showed up to claim the 200 applications being offered.
