Three cheers for the stupidity of the climate alarmists!
This morning on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal, Rep. John Shadegg (R-AZ) announced that the Democrats had dropped a 300 page amendment into the cap-and-tax bill at 3AM this morning. The congressman had no idea what was contained within the last minute changes, and assumed the bill would go to the floor with his fellow legislators equally ignorant. And the villains who crafted the last-ditch freedom-coups likely hit the sheets this morning anticipating a likewise uninformed vote.
Luckily for all Americans, they were wrong.
Minority leader John Boehner just spent over an hour on the House floor exposing the contents of this amendment. And its provisions for wealth realignment and government intervention into literally every miniscule aspect of American’s lives are so implausible, so outrageous, so over-the-top insane, that it’s hard to imagine that this bill – which was considered a toss-up all day – would have any chance of survival in a rational world.
Granted, we don’t live in such a world.
But it’s also hard to imagine airdrop-hating Blue Dog Democrats not being inconsolably outraged by these redefining late entries.
I say the gluttonous Democrats have flown too close to the very Sun they dismiss. H.R. 2454 gets pulled by Pelosi prior to final vote.
