nted German language flyers with Obama's picture and logo plus added a German-English Berlin event page on his campaign site, all giving detailed information about this happening.

Oh, it is not a happening, it is a presidential speech. "But Bush is still president; the election for the next president is over three months away" some might protest. Apparently Obama and his 300 policy advisers don't know this.

"It is not going to be a political speech," said a senior foreign policy adviser, who spoke to reporters on background. "When the president of the United States goes and gives a speech, it is not a political speech or a political rally.

An alert reporter (yes, they do exist) informed the adviser

"But he is not president of the United States,"

Oh right, the adviser realized, so he quickly added

"He is going to talk about the issues as an individual ... not as a candidate, but as an individual, as a senator,"

Uh, Barack Obama is a senator from Illinois which is not near Germany.

And yes, it

is open to the press but space is limited.
