Rich Moran believes --along with most of the media and the Democrats themeselves--President Bush was dissing Obama and pals when Bush condemned negotiating "with the terrorists and radicals" in his address to the Israeli Knesset (Parliament). Ah, but was he? Not according to the President. As White House Press Secretary Dana Perino pointedly replied when asked if the Bush's speech was a "slam on Senator Obama"

It is not. And I would think that all of you who cover these issues and have for a long time have known that there are many who have suggested these types of negotiations with people that President Bush thinks we should not talk to. I understand when you're running for office you sometimes think the world revolves around you -- that is not always true and it is not true in this case.

Meanwhile, clearly differentiating himself from Obama and the let's-discuss-terror-reasonably-with-terrorists-and-then-we'll-be-friends advocates, McCain extended the argument.

Saying he takes Bush at his word that he wasn't speaking directly of Obama, McCain said, "It does bring up an issue I will be discussing with the American people, and that is why does Barack Obama, Senator Obama want to sit down with a state sponsor of terrorism?" McCain said in the back of his campaign bus.

"It is a serious error on the part of Senator Obama that shows naiveté and inexperience and lack of judgment to say that he wants to sit down across the table from an individual who leads a country that says and says that Israel is a stinking corpse, that is dedicated to the extinction of the state of Israel."

Inexperienced and naive vs. strength and experience. Now that's a clear cut choice.
