Obama's very discreet denunciation

Bizzy Blog clues us in on Obama's two step on Hamas. Obama issued a condemnation of the church bulletin Hamas screed (originally blogged here) to JTA, Jewish and Israel News" (Jewish Telegraphic Agency), and has kept it off his campaign's web site. 

If I didn't know better (actually, I believe I do), the campaign wants to be able to claim that it issued a denunciation, while making sure as few people as possible know about what gave rise to the need for it.

Clever? Yes.

Effective? We'll see.
