The Palestinian reconciliation farce

I thought the just announced reconciliation of Fatah and Hamas was a sham designed to get the money spigot turned on again and to put more pressureon the Israelis to negotiatie again with a non-existent entity.

Sure enough
"A Fatah official was kidnapped by armed men on Sunday in Gaza. The official, Mohammed Abu-Smala, is active in Force 17, an elite branch of the Fatah terrorist group's armed forces. Kidnappings and killings have continued in the Gaza region despite the recent agreement between Fatah and Hamas to share control of the Palestinian Authority."
