One week into the new season of 24, CAIR is already complaining: (via AFP and Breitbart):

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said "24's" season premiere, in which Islamic terrorists detonated a nuclear bomb near Los Angeles, risked stoking racial hatred. [....]

"The raw emotional impact of fictional scenes that include widespread death and destruction in America may adversely affect the public's attitude toward civil liberties, religious freedom and interfaith relations," the CAIR statement said.

"The program's repeated association of acts of terrorism with Islam will only serve to increase anti-Muslim prejudice in our society," it added.

CAIR would obviously prefer that our media ignore Islamic terror and pretend that Serbs are the great terror threat.

Meanwhile, the very organization which claims to speak on behalf of the Islamic side of "American-Islam Relations" seems to have nothing to say about the following:

A radical Australian cleric drew widespread condemnation Thursday over a series of videos in which he encourages children to become martyrs for Islam and ridicules Jews as pigs.

"We want to have children and offer them as soldiers defending Islam," the Australian-born Sheik Feiz Mohammed, head of the Global Islamic Youth Center in western Sydney, said in one video broadcast on Australian television.

The lectures, for sale in Australia and overseas, were denounced by Australian government leaders. The chief of the opposition Labor Party called them an incitement to terrorism

Does CAIR wish to pretend that such events in Australia have no bearing on America? Islam proclaims itself a worldwide community. It seems to me that there is far more intolerance on the Islam side of the equation than on the American side. CAIR should address this by being as active in reforming Islam as it is in complaining about imagined sleights in America. Muslims are free to worship in America, while in parts of the Islamic world no such reciprocal freedom exists. That is a basic problem that CAIR should work to remedy, if it wants to be taken seriously.
