Contempt: The currency of the left

It is safe to say that Carl Bernstein did not mean to indict the left when he wrote the above, since he is a man of the left. But his words are a fair description of what ails the left and much of the right, and not just in journalism. Contempt. This was exemplified yesterday by the words of Nancy Pelosi when she said:
So many times white non-college educated white [sic] males have voted Republican, they voted against their own economic interests because of guns, because of gays, and because of God, the three Gs, God being the woman's right to choose.
These words are reminiscent of Obama's derisive "bitter clingers" comment to the swells in San Francisco years ago, in Pelosi's own...(Read Full Post)
