"The lowest form of popular culture - lack of information, misinformation, disinformation and a contempt for the truth or the reality of most people's lives - has overrun real journalism."  Carl Bernstein It is safe to say that Carl Bernstein did not mean to indict the left when he wrote the above, since he is a man of the left.  But his words are a fair description of what ails the left and much of the right, and not just in journalism.  Contempt.  This was exemplified yesterday by the words of Nancy Pelosi when she said:   So many times white non-college educated white [sic] males have voted Republican,  they voted against their own economic interests  because of guns, because of gays, and because of God, the three Gs, God being the woman's right to choose.
