In New York, men can be arrested for rape if women don't say 'I want sex!'

New York State passed a law requiring women to affirmatively say they want sex before sleeping with men (or, I guess, other women?).  If they don't, and they later decide they didn't enjoy the sex, they can have the man arrested for rape.  This is what Columbia University's Mattress Girl tried to do.  Several months after having anal sex, she decided she didn't enjoy it (I personally would have decided that much more quickly), and she tried to get her sexual partner arrested for rape.  When the police laughed her off, she started carrying around a mattress and making porn videos in protest. With all the murder and armed robbery on the streets of New York City, you would think other things would be higher in priority.  Rape on campuses, by and large, exists to a small degree and is a largely exaggerated problem.  I think a woman walking around the Columbia University campus is about a hundred times safer than a woman walking on the...(Read Full Post)
