Video: Actor Chris Pratt teaches his son the Pledge of Allegiance

Even if you've seen this video of actor Chris Pratt, starring in the new Jurassic Park film, teaching his son the Pledge of Allegiance, it's worth seeing again. The video has gone viral and is eliciting hundreds of favorable comments on Pratt's Facebook page.

Washington Examiner:

Former Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt posted a heartwarming video on his Facebook page of his two-year-old son, Jack, and himself saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

Pratt posted the video Wednesday apologizing for not posting it on Memorial Day because he was in China promoting his new movie Jurassic World.

“Meant to post this on #‎MemorialDay but I was in China and my phone wasn’t working. I’m proud to be American. I’m blessed to get to travel the world! #‎IPledgeAllegiance,” Pratt wrote.

In the video, courtesy of Pratt’s Facebook page, Pratt recites one line at a time while Jack repeats them back perfectly. Both great Americans have their hands on their hearts while reciting the Pledge.

Pratt is re-enacting one of the most important roles a parent can take on; passing love of country from generation to generation.  It's no accident that patriotism is on the wane in America when you consider that schools at every level are deliberately failing to inculcate a sense of patriotism in students, and instead seek to obscure America's greatness by almost exclusively highlighting our faults and errors.  This is extraordinarily damaging to the future of America, and it's heartwarming to see Pratt take it upon himself as a parent to teach his child what America stands for.
