Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies from the White House

Speaking from the White House last Friday, President Obama commemorated the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Along with some boiler plate remarks extending "warmest [sic] wishes" to the 1.5 million Muslims around the world he characterized Ramadan as a time to "cherish family, friends and neighbors, and to help those in need.." He then went on to say that Islam, like all great faiths, has a "commitment to justice, equality and compassion." Here is a statement from the Christian Telegraph regarding Muslims cherishing friends and neighbors during Ramadan: This is not just a theory or possibility. Moeller says during Ramadan, "Christians in Muslim-dominated countries experience a severe increase in persecution worldwide." Year after year, Christians have faced increased hardship during this Muslim holy month. As Muslims focus on serving God, some hone in on the Quran's commands to eliminate Christians.
