Obama Security Leaks OK, Fast and Furious Docs Stay Under Wraps

Deputy Attorney General James Cole's letter to Congressman Darrell Issa invoking Executive Privilege on Fast and Furious documents demonstrated the administration's selective application of the rule of law once again. The documents responsive to the remaining subpoena items pertain to sensitive law enforcement activities, including ongoing criminal investigations and prosecutions, or were generated by Department officials in the course of responding to congressional investigations or media inquiries about this matter that are generally not appropriate for disclosure.  Cole stated the reason Holder withheld documents was twofold. First, Justice had already "substantially complied" with the subpoena. Second, the documents were highly sensitive in nature.
