Obama for Pope?
You may wonder what Obama will do when he is no longer President of the United States. I think he will run for Pope.
We've read about how Obama has declared himself one of the greatest four presidents in history and about how the Liberal media has labeled him the smartest person ever to be president. There has also been discussion as to how he was putting words into Jesus' mouth at the recent prayer breakfast. He has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and has been referred to by his media legions as The One.
Now the smartest person to ever be president thinks he knows better than the Pope what's best for the eternal salvation of Catholics.
The Pope is a man who's greatness is believed by a billion followers to have been conveyed from the God through the college of Cardinals in the papal conclave.
Obama on the other hand got to be president on the back of votes from folks he referred to as Cousin Pookie and Uncle Bubba.
The Pope is believed by all Catholics to have a direct line with God. When he speaks he speaks the Word sent from above by the Lord.
Obama, in spite of 20 years of Rev. Wright's tutelage, cannot grasp that God's Words are more powerful than his own which are sent from above by a team of well-paid speech writers to his teleprompters.
The Pope carries on a religious tradition that is traced back 2,000 years.
Obama carries on a Liberal Progressive tradition that has been menacing American social/economic society for close to a hundred years.
It's easy for Liberals like Obama to say that men and women should have the right to choose and the Church understands that. That's why we have free will. If an employee at a Catholic university chooses to buy oral contraception or abort a new life she can freely choose to. If her Catholic husband chooses to use condoms that's his choice too.
The fact that the Church understands that its members may act contrary to its teachings does not mean therefore that it condones those acts as the Liberals would make you believe.
The Pope expresses the Word and Law of God to the Catholic fold. He is very clear in declaring that the use of oral contraception, condoms and abortion in any form is wrong. End of discussion. Catholic universities, schools and hospitals do not have any flexibility on this subject no matter what Obama decrees from Washington. They answer to a higher authority and yes there is a higher authority than Obama in spite of what he and his flock may think.
Obama will never be able to understand as true Christians do, that you cannot argue with God. You cannot compromise with God or "accommodate" Him. Political slight-of-hand won't fool Him either.
But it won't stop Obama from trying. So can we look forward to a Chicago-style campaign to discredit the Church leaders as Obama prepares for his next election as Pope?
