NFL Hall of Famer snubs Obama invite

Less than a month after five NASCAR drivers turned down an invitation to attend a ceremony at the White House due to "scheduling conflicts," Barack Obama has been snubbed again.  NFL Hall of Fame defensive tackle Dan Hampton surprised WSCR morning hosts Mike Mulligan and Brian Hanley on their Monday show by announcing that he would not be joining his teammates for their upcoming visit to the White House, stating that "I'm not a fan of the guy in the White House." Chicago callers were quick to voice their displeasure with the football legend as Mully and Hanley made a weak attempt to defend Hampton's right to turn down the invite.  Callers who voiced their support for the Hall of Famer were treated with mild disdain by the hosts who are of course true blue Chicagoans.  Dan Hampton should be congratulated for having the courage to tell the truth rather than fabricating an excuse to explain his absence at the event.  Mr. Obama decided to invite members of the 1985...(Read Full Post)
