ELF Institutes it's own 'Fairness Doctrine'

Waiting for Obama to shut up the opposition is evidently too tiresome for eco terrorists Earth Liberation Front (ELF) in Washington State who are now using bulldozers to bring down AM radio transmitter towers to monopolize political debate in that fair state:

Radio towers were taken down over the weekend in Washington state and Pennsylvania, and the two instances are believed to be the result of "eco-terrorists." On Friday, Sports KRKO-AM/Everett, WA had two of its towers knocked down in Snohomish County, WA and CNN reports that environmental organization the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) has taken responsibility for the incident. The towers reportedly were taken down by a stolen bulldozer.

The group, which has had members cited for domestic terrorism in the past, released a statement saying that "AM radio waves cause adverse health effects including a higher rate of cancer, harm to wildlife, and that the signals have been interfering with home phone and intercom lines...When all legal channels of opposition have been exhausted, concerned citizens have to take action into their own hands to protect life and the planet."

"There's quite a bit of destruction to the antenna system and it will probably take at least three months to get it back up and operational again," KRKO station manager Andy Skotdal told Talk KIRO. The Sports station is currently on-air using a backup transmitter. The towers were intended to help KRKO boost its signal and allow the sign-on of a new AM station, and had been the focus of controversy in Snohomish County.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the downing of the tower in Pennsylvania.
