Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) is going to vote for Sonia Sotomayor.  So, apparently are many other Republican senators.  (Sotomayor is reportedly meeting with other prominent “conservative” Republican senators today.)Graham has backtracked from his earlier opposition to Sotomayor.  He stated his reason for changing his position in his speech on the Senate floor yesterday -- repeating over and over “elections have consequences.”Graham is correct.  Elections do have consequences.  Conservatives continue to vote for politically spineless politicians like Lindsey Graham.  These are politicians who say one thing to the folks at home and vote another way in Washington, DC.
