Press Corps to right of them, Talk Shows to left of them, Bi-partisanship in front of them Volleyed and thundered; Stormed at with scorn and shill, Cringing they tip toed on egg shell, Into the jaws of Beltway Swell, Into Golly Gee Oh Well Rode Ethos of the GOP 4. Whilst the young with sabre bare, Leave their families to despair, Fight for freedom over there, Risking life and limb, while Their wife and child wonder: Plunge into the IED-smoke Right thro' the line they broke; Jihad and Terror Reel from their sabre stroke Dead or crippled though they may be They risk all for you and me Not worried much for Comity. 5.
