Sykes Hopes Limbaugh's Kidneys Fail - Obama Laughs

Marc Sheppard
Speaking at last night’s annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, comedienne Wanda Sykes repeated the liberal lie that Rush Limbaugh hopes the country fails, and added that she hopes it’s Limbaugh’s kidneys that fail.  But even more shocking than Sykes’ hatefully vulgar words was the response they elicited from the President of the United States -- Laughter.

Of course, it was Obama’s far-left agenda Limbaugh told his radio audience he hoped would fail, but truth didn’t stop Sykes from stupidly comparing him to Osama bin Laden and accusing him of treason for wanting the country to fail.  Which set up her over-the-top punch line: “I hope his kidneys fail, how about that?”

Sadly, it wasn’t surprising to see and hear her audience, comprised mostly of Obama-fawning politicians and elitist mainstream media toadies, roar with laughter at her malicious wish.  But at 4:56 into this clip, Barack Obama is clearly seen joining in the revelry.

Imagine the outrage had Craig Ferguson wished a fatal medical condition upon Keith Olbermann when he spoke at last year’s dinner.  And the frenzy that would have ensued had President Bush joined in the laughter.

You can be sure the following morning’s talk shows would have attacked both the comedian and the president for finding humor in such indecency.  As well they should have.

And yet, jumping channels this morning, the consensus appears to be one of good-natured fun enjoyed by all last night.

So it seems that beyond the blogosphere, Sykes, Obama and the WHCA will largely be given a pass.  Until tomorrow at 12:05 Eastern Time, that is.
