April 09, 2009 Associated Press trips over its own content ban
The irony in this story is just too delicious.
We here at AT do not quote from AP stories anymore because the wire service behemoth is forcing websites to pay for using their content. Not to worry. If AP wants to commit suicide that's fine with us. They don't get the internet at all - that content is worthless but links are golden. They will be history in a few years if they maintain this policy. That said, it appears the AP committed a goof when they went after a small country radio station in Tennessee that dared post one of their videos on their website:
Do you hear that noise? That's the sound of a meteor crashing into earth. The meteor is the internet and just like 63 million years ago, the biggest losers when the dust settles will be the dinosaurs of the MSM. |
