Obama's approval ratings bounce back

Dan Gordon and Richard Baehr
President Obama's approval ratings moving back up. Approval/disapproval now 59-39; at the low, the figure was 55-44. Among very favorable- very unfavorable, he is now at 38-27; the low point was 36-32.

The media offensive -- press conference, Leno, Schieffer, 60 Minutes -- had the desired effect. The surge  will likely carry Democrat Murphy to victory in New York 20 special election today. A week ago, the GOP candidate, Tedisco probably would have won.

You just know how MSM will play a GOP defeat in what is perceived as a GOP leaning district (big registration edge), though it voted for Obama in 2008, and voted for Gillenbrand twice (by over 20% in 2008).
