January 22, 2009 Qadaffi's one-state snake oilMuammar Qaddafi wrote a sly skillful op-ed in the New York Times today, advocating a one-state solution for Israel and Palestine. A guaranteed recipe for suicide for the Jewish state, couched in manipulative language.
If one were to put aside for a moment the demographic realities of the Islamic vs. Jewish propensity for propagation, dear Muammar might come across as down right conciliatory. Palestinians" mind you, in all of recorded history never existed as a people other than as Arabs until 1967. As anyone informed on the subject would be aware, Israeli Jews propagate at 1.8 briths per family unit; where as the birth rate for Arabs living in Israel is 3.6 births per family unit. The rate is far higher in Gaza at 8.6 births per unit and 6.8 in the West Bank according to (UNWRA) and the (WHO) If one factors in these statistics it quickly becomes apparent that within a democratic society where one person equals one vote, in short order the Arab population could soon vote all Jews out of Israel and finally have the region all to themselves- their publicly stated goal. Mr. Qaddafi's proposal is in essence, tantamount to Jewish capitulation. Thus the unruly, uninformed masses we saw swarming Western streets to protest Israeli aggression might cite such statements as Mr. Qaddafi's as being reasonable and just. In other words the Arabs want nothing more than to co-exist in peace while the Israelis are being intractable, while subjugating poor Palestinians.
