Postcolonial values

Jerome J. Schmitt
A disturbing incident in Pakistan concerning "traditional", pre-colonial, state-sanctioned Islamic barbarity toward women, as Associated Press reports that a Pakistani lawmaker defended a decision by northwestern tribesmen to bury five women alive because they wanted to choose their own husbands. He cited the defense of centuries-old tradition.

This tragedy should serve as a reminder that we must be ever vigilant in defending and proud in advancing our civilization, our humanity, and our traditional western values against the constant anti-American onslaught originating in multi-cultural, "post-colonial" left  and channeled through "worldly sophisticates" in the Democratic Party. Our nation is the standard-bearer in advancing human rights around the world.  No doubt liberal American women's rights organizations are too busy defending against even the most insignificant or imaginary "paternalistic" threats to their "right to choose" to notice any need to defend Islamic women's right to continued life.
