| Another Weird Development in the AIPAC Case »

Joe Lieberman's was by far the best speech I've yet seen in both conventions. He does not need to rely on theatrics, drama, fancy set or a hysterical audience. He is himself. He is genuine. He is understated eloquence, with conviction, not embellished flourish.
When this man speaks, he speaks from real experience and heartfelt belief. He clearly knows who he is and who John McCain is. Lieberman and McCain have spent a great deal of time together in the Senate, have traveled to Iraq together, more than once, and it is obvious that Joe Lieberman believes McCain is the best man for the Presidency.
His backing will have the effect, in my opinion, of swaying a great many undecided voters. He has asked them to vote Country first, not Party first, and I believe many of them will heed his heartfelt advice.
