| Foreign Columnist Bemoans Imminent Obama Demise »
September 10, 2008 Back to the FutureBarack Obama has again tried to remake history. On the Bill O'Reilly Show, Barack Obama denied hearing Pastor Wright's more incendiary sermons at the Trinity United Church of Christ without specifying which of those sermons he did hear. More significantly, O'Reilly asked him about his church attendance. He said that he had gone to church..maybe "a couple of times a month." This directly contradicts what he said in a late 2004 (before Pastor Wright caused him political problems and was thrown under the bus) in an interview with highly regarded Chicago Sun-Times journalist Cathleen Falsani. In that Q and A, Obama took pride in his devotion to Pastor Wright and said that he regularly attended Trinity (every week) and had been doing so for twenty years.
What type of calendar does he follow when every week turns out to be maybe two times a month? If he was so spotty on his devotion to the church, why would he call Wright his "moral compass," "sounding board," and "confidant?" Why would he make the church the number one beneficary (by far) of his and Michelle's charity dollars? Why would he specifically name Pastor Wright along with James Meeks and Father Pfleger as his trio of people he looks to for spiritual guidance?
Of course, Meeks and Pfleger have controversy of their own. Meeks is part of the Chicago political machine and has castigated Hollywood Jews for causing immorality in society. Pfleger has hosted and spoken well (as has Wright) of Louis Farrakhan. Obama has also arranged earmarks for Trinity and for Father Pfleger's church. Barack Obama can stop polar ice caps from melting. He can also try to change history retroactively. Time travel? Who would have thought?
