The BBC reports today that "Police in Baghdad have recovered five luxury cars which once belonged to Uday Hussein, son of Saddam Hussein, buried under piles of earth in an orchard." [My emphasis.]
Recall that previously "American forces have found Russian fighter jets buried in the Iraqi desert" . [Again, my emphasis.]
"ISG technical experts fully evaluated less than one quarter of one percentof the over 10,000 weapons caches throughout Iraq, and visited fewer than ten ammunition depots identified prior to OIF as suspect CW sites."
As for the WMD, it wouldn't matter to the MSM. If 550 tons of yellow cake uranium don't make the cut, what will? The mantra lives on "Bush lied, people died."
But why would they bury the luxury cars?
Evidence of crime? Radioactive? People in it?
According to a General Sada-a top military advisor to Hussein-most of the WMD's were sent to Syria. He even gave the name of the person receiving the WMD's.
There is no doubt in my mind that whatever we don't know about WMD's to date is buried somewhere in the sands of-well-wherever.

A commenter asked why anyone would bury the luxury automobiles. Good question and here are several probable answers.
1. So no one else can have them.
2. You hope you can return later , if not too great a timespan and recover them.
3. They are in some way illegal or illegally
obtained.
4. Some one other than Uday buried them in hope of recovery after the chaos had ended.
5.All of the logic or reasoning contained in these probabilities is the same as many pirates who fled their enemies or pursuers and buried their treasures.
Its EASY digging in the desert. It ain't like digging cesspools in North Jersey...rocks on/rocks off all day. Saddam had enough time and equipment to bury a 100 car Norfolk Southern container train. GPS it, then walk away. Most likely Hussein pulled a Stalin and shot the workers and buried them with the WMD's when they were finished. He had a persuasive way of shutting people up.
Dittoes Mr. Fulghum...Gen.Sada said they gutted a 747 passenger plane and converted it into a freighter, then flew regularly scheduled daily routes to Baathist Party partner Damascus, loaded with WMD materials, to fool the surveillance satellites. It didn't fit the Bushhitlercheneyhalliburton template of the nasty MSM libchicks and was conveniently ignored.
I have always wondered why nobody has shown any interest in Saddam Hussein's man-made lakes adjacent to his numerous palaces. One would think they would be a great place to hide stuff. He would have been able to gloat and keep an eye on his hidden marvels.
We have plenty of intel on where much of the WMD stock was taken. Syria. We know who took them there and when. The Russians. Only our Socialist -Marxist Democrats, who by now would be celebrating the third year of our surrender in Iraq, want to preserve the myth that Saddam didn't have WMD's.
Whenever I've talked to friends who spew the "So where are the WMDs?" crap, I like to submit the following analogy:
Imagine a kid in his room smoking pot with his buddies. Suddenly, he hears his parents coming up the stairs! Not only that, but they begin knocking on the door, saying they know he has pot and they want to come in and talk to him about it! As the door is locked, they threaten the young man that he had better open the door so they can see the pot or else he's in big trouble! They continue to knock on the door for months and months, during which the kid reassures his parents he has no pot, and they are violating his privacy and they can't come in.
Six months later the parents finally bust in the door, and the kid is sitting on his bed, no smoke, no pot, not even a lingering smell.
Is it that there was no pot to begin with, or that the parents gave the kid SIX DAMN MONTHS TO CLEAN UP HIS TRACKS...?
I would have counted Saddam Houssein as the dumbest crook in the world if there WERE any WMDs still in his country after we gave him so much time to clean house...

How many times does this need to be said?...
We obliterated much of the bad stuff during the two or three nights of Shock and Awe bombing.
The Iraqi "shock" at seeing their precious stockpiles go up in flames, and the "awe sh*t" they were saying about three seconds later.
You can't find WMD if it looks like the other dust.
