Gee..I wonder if this foreign travel is the same type of Congressional trip Obam has disparaged in the past?
Or did he enjoy this trip because it paid political benefits for him?
What has been little recognized is that Barack Obama's victory tour overseas was in part paid for by American taxpayers. This despite its clear political purpose becasue it was billed (literally and figuratively) as a "congressional fact-finding trip". The first leg of the trip was courtesy of the taxpayers and was the same type of foreign trip that Senator Obama has disparaged in the past for being all but worthless.
I know what those trips are like. I've been on them. You go from the airport to the embassy. There's a group of children who do a native dance. You meet with the C.I.A. station chief and the embassy and they give you a briefing. You go take a tour of plant that" with "the assistance of Usaid has started something. And then, you go."
Does he feel differently when such a trip was taken to benefit him politically? Let's at least be glad that the American flags waved by fervent Germans were paid for and supplied by his campaign.
I wonder if the flags were made in America?
