May 18, 2008 The Myth of 'Anonymous Emails" Against ObamaHow often have we seen news reports (like this) that refer to "anonymous emails" regarding Barack Obama? This term is frequently used to characterize any sort of criticisms or questions raised about Barack Obama and to dismiss them if they are circulated on the internet. The term is part of the lexicon that supporters of Barack Obama -- either in the media or in his campaign -- use to avoid debate or silence criticism. It joins the use of "distraction" by Barack Obama to distract people from legitimate questions raised as well as "smear" and the accusations of "playing the race card" as part of the tactics the Obama campaign has used to avoid the tarnishing his image. The term "anonymous emails" makes it seem as if they are somehow disreputable; that people are shamed by sending them. All are efforts used to denigrate and disparage people who have qualms about a man of limited experience, with a questionable sense of judgment, who may very well become President. I have yet to receive an email regarding Barack Obama that hid its sender behind an anonymous cloak. The most pointed and relevant questions regarding Barack Obama come from people who readily identify themselves, who regularly post to websites -- such as American Thinker, Commentary, Powerline, Atlas Shrugs, Boker Tov Boulder, Gateway Pundit, Hugh Hewitt, Soccer Dad, Yid with Lid, let alone publications such as the Wall Street Journal, National Review, Weekly Standard and many other media outlets. They are not hiding in the netherworld -- such as anonymous emails offering cut-rate pricing of drugs or scams to recover lost money -- of the internet. Instead they are the fruit of thoughtful investigation and analysis that all candidates running for office should face. All of the criticism and questions I have received have come with name tags attached. Criticism has been posted on a wide variety and number of sites. These have provoked, at times, misplaced and unjust-attacks by supporters of Barack Obama. Critics do not hide from such debate; they welcome it. Why does the media keep referring to "anonymous emails" when these emails have return addresses? (Google shows almost 200,000 hits for the search terms "Obama" plus "anonymous emails.") Such a practice -- which almost seems a policy when it comes to many in the media -- is merely part of an attempt to censor discussion, to make such commentary seem like "internet mush". In fact, many questions and stories about Obama may have started on the internet but -- as time has gone on-have become a staple on ABC News (which delved into the Pastor Wright relationship), Fox News, the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal and with an increasing number of high profile commentators who have expressed concern about Senator Obama. Those in the media who attempt to stifle discussion are violating their own journalistic ethics and ignoring the importance of a principle they supposedly hold dear: Free Speech. |

Anonymous Emails is indeed used to stop questions that Obama does NOT want asked. We need to remember that anyone who disagrees with Obama must be taken down.Disagreeing with the Liberal Elite is a sin.

Here's a not so anonymous email regarding Barack Hussein Obama. I personally believe he is an inexperienced empty suit. I also believe the liberal lamestream media has abdicated it's responsibility to ask the truly hard questions, particularly about his 20 year association with a race-baiting, former black nationalist, the not so good "Reverend" Jeremiah Wright.
I also believe Mr. Obama to be an appeaser of this country's enemies and that he would prove, if elected, to be little more than a glib, charismatic Jimmy Carter II who is in his natural element reading off a teleprompter to good effect. I believe the evidence of his U.S. Senate voting record accurately paints him as the extreme left politician who was propelled on his way by the Chicago Democratic Machine under very questionable circumstances. I should know, I live here in the People's Republic of Illinois.
And I also claim that 99% of the people willing to vote for this Manchurian candidate had never heard of Barack Hussein Obama just five short years ago. Given the scandals which already surround this presidential candidate, scandals which after being initially reported are dropped like hot potatoes by the liberal press corps, I'm confident that even more damaging information about one messianic candidate named Obama is out there to be mined. Mr. Obama has gotten passes from the media which neither sHrillary Clinton or John McCain would get if they committed some of the same faux pas or had surrounded themselves with a laundry list of American-haters that Mr. Obama has throughout his short political career.

Of course the fun part is always watching the liberals destroy themselves while they assume nothing is wrong. Attaching $6 tolls to bridges and then hiding behind the No Child Left Behind Act; Rounding up all those who don't speak their tongue while criticizing the other side about the right of gay people to marry; complaining about mass-tranist when they were the ones who, 60 years ago, killed mass transit by forcing it under the governmens hand. They always get what they deserve in the end - let that be a lesson to you! Seattle only 15 years ago was the shining beacon of prosperity for all of America, now it has faded under liberal tyranny, and Macy's only recently shut down it's Seattle Headquarters. Meanwhile, directly across from it in Georgia, Atlanta stands ready to gain another million people, this time in five years instead of six, and our downtown is blossoming with skyscrapers and commerce. Oh, and unlike elsewhere in America, in Atlanta, our black people are rich! That should be a lesson to the liberal movement!

This criticism of B. H. Obama will roll off the backs of the MSM (main stream media)like water off a duck's back. Do you really think Dr. Frankenstein would allow, or God forbid, pass on criticism of his creation???

As a regular reader of most of the Blogs Mentioned, I can attest to the fact that I have NEVER seen a post about Obama that did not refer to a valid source.
Why are people upset about us passing along the truth. Instead of bashing us for posting--why don't they try to argue the evidence? Maybe because they can't.

I am sorry. I am a Liberal Elite.
I call an Electrician when I need electrical work done. I go to a gas station when my preferred form of transportation needs gas. I also call an Economist when I am faced with an economic issue.
And yes, I sell my own work product when there is a market demand. We live in an advance capitalist society where the Elitism of specialized knowledge is a cornerstone of how our civilization operates. To open markets is to liberalize markets. So do not fear the foundations of our own ideology.
In our society critics of power come from two general locations: from within but marginalized, and from outside. Both locations operate against a power to ensure it does not move our nation independently and according to a limited fundamentalism of any ideology.
I do not write in defense of Barack Hussein Obama, for that is his name, I write to encourage you to enter the debate and provide more powerful criticism necessary to move our nation forward. Your task is important to this nation.
What is at stake is:
- The War in Iraq
- Whether America will engage in another war in Iran
- The War on Terrorism (against both governmental and non-governmental entities)
- Recession
- Balanced Budgets / Restored Trade Balances / National Debt
- Advancement of the Middle class
- Prepare the education of our young to allow America to compete in an advanced global knowledge based economy
- Address the escalating costs of Healthcare, and its weight on private industry
- Establish a market-based regime that will advance the health of our environment
Unless your criticism has anything to do with the weighty issues America faces today, its just gotcha politics. And the one thing the last three special elections has taught us is that the audience/electorate has become as media savvy as the rhetoric of our pundocracy.
