We all knew that the Russian plutocracy is becoming as authoritarian as the Communists they replaced, and under Comrade Putin and his Dancing Teeth, we`ve witnessed the closure or state takeover of numerous media outlets as the former KGB head consolidated his power. Now the Russian government is going after bloggers.This from Pravda. Here is the money quote: "The case started a year ago, when Terentyev posted a comment in the blog of one of komi's journalist. The comment was a rough offence to the police. In a few days Terentyev's apartment was raided and system block with floppies was withdrawn."
You can no longer disparage the authorities in Russia on the web without having your home raided and facing imprisonment or stiff financial penalty.
Russia is reverting to a police state.
