I have a dream

When I was a child, a great American gave a speech which transformed the country and left an indelible impression on my soul. Today I think of the dream then and the dream now. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksand of politically correct thinking to the solid rock of mature and informed reasoning. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men[and women] are created equal" and must be judged by the same standards for the greatest political office of the land.  I have a dream that in these United States of America, a candidate will be measured by the quality of her/his deeds and not the dazzle of his/her delivery. I have a dream that one day people will judge a candidate by his/her voting record and proven leadership in government and not by the guilt-linked factors of race or gender.
